On my drive back from The Dalles through the Gorge, I stopped at the Rowena Crest Viewpoint and found the Balsamroot flowers in full bloom.
Located in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, Rowena Crest is famous for its views of the Gorge both east and west, its hiking trails, the wildflowers and wildlife.
