Image
Sunset at the Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden, Portland Oregon. I took this photo in August 1978 with my brand new Olympus OM-1 and 35mm Zuiko lens. Kodak Ektachrome 200 35mm slide film, I believe I had it processed at then Oregon-based Photo Factory near Portland State University in 1978; and digitized in 2025 with my Epson Perfection V600 Photo Scanner at 3400 dpi.
Film
35mm KODAK EKTACHROME 200 ASA transparency (slide) film. KODAK E6 processing. EKTACHROME was known for its fine grain and highly saturated colors. The fast 200 ASA film speed was new in 1977. The fact that this slide has endured to now (almost 47 years) is a testament to its longevity.
Analog to Digital
Scanned with an Epson Perfection V600 Photo Scanner at the following settings:
- Resolution 3400 DPI.
- Unsharp mask set to MEDUIM
- Color restoration ON.

- Dust removal ON.

Post-Processing
Some minor image clean-up in Adobe® Photoshop 26.6.1 (removal of scanned artifacts) and write to meta data. Exposure adjustments in Adobe® Lightroom Classic.
